Terms of sale

These terms apply when you buy a website, local SEO or an Oddie Bookings subscription from Oddie Studio, a brand of Black Odix Technologies LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company ("we", "us"). Before you pay, we confirm in writing what you are getting and the price.

Websites

Website ($1,490 one-time). We design and build a custom website for your business. The price includes hosting for the first 12 months, connecting your domain, a printable QR card for Google reviews and one free local SEO audit of your Google Business Profile during the first year. The website is yours once it is delivered. At checkout you may be able to pay in installments through a pay-later provider (for example Klarna or Affirm), where available. That installment agreement is between you and the provider, who pays us the full price; any questions about your installments go to them.

Hosting from the second year ($29 a month or $250 a year). After the first 12 months you can keep your website hosted with us, month to month or for a year paid upfront. There is no contract: you can cancel with at least 30 calendar days' notice, and we help you move your website wherever you want. If you don't want our hosting, you can move your website before the first year ends.

Sponsored websites. From time to time we build a website at no cost for a newly opened local business, chosen by us. In return, we may show it as an example of our work. The business pays only hosting ($250 a year, paid upfront) and its own domain; everything else in these terms applies as for any other website.

Nonprofits and animal rescues. Registered nonprofits and local animal rescues can get a website with hosting at no cost. Places are limited and we confirm them case by case.

Changes and extras. All changes after launch (text, prices, photos, design and layout changes, extra pages and new features) are charged separately and start at $40. Further local SEO audits after the first one, the Google Profile Fix-up and monthly local SEO are also separate. We always tell you the price and get your OK before we start.

Your domain. You buy your domain name in your name, directly from the registrar (usually about $12 to $20 a year), and you pay for it there. We show you how and set up the connection to your website at no cost. It is always yours.

Your content. You confirm that you have the right to use the text, photos and logos you send us. Example photos we use while building are replaced with yours before going live, unless we agree otherwise.

Local SEO

Google Profile Fix-up ($249 one-time). We review and complete your Google Business Profile: categories, services, hours, description, photos and the details customers look for, and we give you a printable QR card for Google reviews.

Local Starter ($399 a month) and Local Growth ($749 a month). Monthly local SEO work as described on our local SEO page, with a monthly report. Both have a 3-month minimum term, billed monthly, because local SEO usually takes about that long to show results; after that they renew month to month and you can cancel with 30 days' notice. You can move from Starter to Growth at any time.

No guarantees on rankings. Nobody controls Google's results. We promise the work, not a position.

Reviews. We help you ask real customers for reviews, all of them, not only the happy ones. We never write, buy or filter reviews.

Your accounts. You stay the owner of your Google Business Profile and other listings. We work as a manager, and you can remove our access at any time.

Oddie Bookings

Oddie Bookings is a subscription: $19 a month or $149 a year paid upfront for one person (Solo), or $49 a month for teams of up to 5 people. The price is the same with or without an Oddie website. Monthly plans renew every month and yearly plans every year until you cancel. You can cancel any time; it stays active until the end of the month you have paid for. Your clients' bookings and details belong to your business; you can ask us for a copy at any time.

Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. Monthly and yearly subscriptions are charged automatically on the same day each period. Pay-later installments, where available, are provided and managed by the pay-later provider you choose at checkout, not by us. Prices are in US dollars. Any sales tax that applies is shown before you pay.

Cancellation and refunds

• To cancel, e-mail hello@oddiestudio.com. We confirm by e-mail.
• Payments are non-refundable, except in these cases:
  • We can't deliver your website, or we cancel the work ourselves before it goes live: we refund what you paid for it in full.
  • You were charged by mistake, for example twice for the same month: we refund the extra charge.
• Hosting can be cancelled with at least 30 calendar days' notice. Hosting already paid for a year is not refunded, and your website stays online until the end of that year.

Our service

We keep websites and Oddie Bookings running with care, but we can't promise they will never be interrupted. If something stops working, tell us and we'll fix it as quickly as we can. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version shown on this page when you buy is the one that applies to that purchase, so please read it before you buy; the date at the bottom shows when it last changed. A new version applies to purchases made after it is posted, and never to a period you have already paid for. If you keep using a service after a change, the new version applies to that continued use. Prices for new purchases can also change at any time without notice: the price you pay is the one shown when you buy. If we change prices for an ongoing subscription or hosting, we tell you by e-mail at least 30 days before the change applies.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA.
